How does Progress Tracking work?
Progress Tracking stores your typing test results (WPM and accuracy) in your browser localStorage. You set goals, log sessions after taking typing tests, and the tool visualizes your improvement over time with charts and milestone badges.
Where is my data stored?
All data is stored locally in your browser using localStorage. No typing data, results, or personal information is sent to any server. Your progress is completely private and stays on your device.
How do I log a typing session?
Click the Log Session tab, enter your WPM and accuracy from a typing test you have taken, optionally set the date, and click Log Session. Your results will be saved and added to your progress chart.
What are milestone badges?
Milestone badges are achievement markers that unlock as you progress. You earn badges for taking your first test, completing 10 tests, reaching 50 WPM, 75 WPM, 100 WPM, and achieving 95% accuracy.
Can I delete individual sessions?
Yes, each logged session has a delete button that removes it from your history. You can also reset all progress including goals and sessions at any time.
What is a good WPM target?
Most people type between 40-50 WPM. A good target for beginners is 50 WPM, intermediate is 70 WPM, advanced is 90 WPM, and expert level is 100+ WPM. Set a goal slightly above your current ability to stay motivated.
